WebSite Content Extensible Editor (WCX Editor)
is a simple web content management system built with XSLT stylesheets. It is a tool for the person who creates and edits the website content (what a web site that is about something is about). It is not a web developer tool for website content (collection for everything) editing.
WCX Editor provides a solution that allows non-technical people to manage entire web site organizing web pages into menu items, inserting images, building lists, and adding links and text. It is forms-based, writers cut and paste the content and press the publish link when the web page is ready. The updated page appears instantly and looks the same way as the web site visitors will see it.
Like all website content management systems (CMS) it can not be installed without a web developer with "right knowledge". The package is freely distributed as a collection of abstract classes, universal purpose utilities, template samples and documentation. Unlike many website CMS, it is essentially one user system. Two users can not edit web site simultaneously. WCX Editor does not use a relational database. WCX Editor is based on XML Technology and inherits extensibility from XML language. It requires that CGI XSLT processor be installed.
