Inserting images

The html form for uploading images has the file field, selected with the browse button, and file name text field. At least one of them must be filled.

If the name field is empty then the file name passed by a browser will be used for the image storage. It is guaranteed that neither of the images that have been uploaded with WCX Editor and are still in use will be overwritten.

If the name field is not empty its value is used for file name of the image. The file extension must be set. If the image with the name passed exists it will be overwritten. The default directory can be redefined with absolute path syntax e. g. /my-dir/my.jpg. Recall, when the image is overwritten the old one is in the browser cache. Press back link in the menu and then refresh the page to update it.

If only the name field is set then the program assumes that the image is already on the web site. WCX Editor does not check whether the file exists or not. You will see it yourself.
